Adoption Center

Our Adoption Center provides a safe, caring, and supportive environment for cats and dogs while they wait for their forever homes. Each animal receives daily care, medical attention, enrichment, and behavioral support to help prepare them for successful adoption.

Veterinary Clinic

The PAL Veterinary Clinic offers affordable, essential veterinary care for cats and dogs in our community. From wellness exams to vaccinations and minor medical procedures, the clinic helps keep pets healthy while generating critical funding for our rescue programs.

PAL Thrift Store

The PAL Thrift Store is a vital source of funding for our organization. Through donated goods and community support, the thrift store provides affordable shopping while directly supporting rescue, medical care, and adoption services.

Our Story
Palmetto Animal League began with a simple but powerful goal: to save more animals by creating better systems of care.
Before opening our Adoption Center, PAL operated through a network of dedicated foster homes, placing animals into temporary care while working to find permanent families. In 2010, we opened our first dedicated Adoption Center in Okatie, creating a centralized place for sheltering, care, and community connection.
Since then, PAL has continued to grow — expanding services, strengthening partnerships, and increasing the number of animals we’re able to save each year.
Our Impact
Every year, Palmetto Animal League saves the lives of more than 1,000 cats and dogs.
Our impact is made possible through community support, dedicated staff and volunteers, and sustainable programs that fund lifesaving work.
We operate as a no-kill rescue organization
We operate 365 days a year, ensuring consistent care
Our Adoption Center cares for approximately 200 animals at any given time
